Thank you for making supporting Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library this past year! Your support is already helping us bring big ideas and essential resources to our community—and now, we’d like to show you how it all begins.
You and a guest are invited to a special Behind the Book tour, an exclusive opportunity for our donors to go behind the scenes of the library. You’ll hear from Sonia Alcántara-Antoine, Baltimore County Public Library CEO, along with library experts Jamie Watson, Collection Development Manager and Jody Sharp, Cataloging and Processing Manager, as they share the philosophy and process behind how we select, acquire and prepare the books and materials you see on our shelves every day.
Then, take a guided, behind-the-scenes tour to experience the full life-cycle of a book—from the loading dock to the library shelf.
